“Be it war-stricken areas like the Syrian borders or the remotest of towns, Guru Nanak’s langar is available for everyone regardless of caste, colour, gender and creed! The same goes for protecting the honour of those with a blanket- since the 14th century!” wrote social activist Harteerath Singh Ahluwalia while sharing the video. He started his caption with the hashtag #SinghWithASign. In the video, Harteerath stands in front of Blinkit-Zomato billboards and holds cardboard placards. One of the placards reads, “Thand lagegi, Kambal denge (If you’ll feel cold, we’ll give you blankets).” “Khana mangoge, Langar denge (If you’ll ask for food, we’ll give you a free meal),” reads another.
