Before you jump to conclusions, let us tell you that we are talking about Afsha, Sparsh and Ali Asgar’s version of 3 Idiots that was shot on the Christmas Special episode of Laughter Ke Phatke with Ali Asgar playing Aamir, Sparsh as Madhavan and Afsha as Sharman. But the producers had to go through a lot to put this piece together.

First, Afsha’s mother threw a fit and brought the shoot to a standstill after being made to wait for hours for it to start in the first place. Nevertheless, the producers managed to pacify her and resume the shoot. Then when they started shooting, it took innumerable retakes and four hours to pull it off perfectly. Ali Asgar was patient while training the kids to learn their lines and ape Sharman and Madhavan to perfection. However, it was worth all the trouble at the end of it!
