Talking to HT City, the reality show star says, “I had made a statement in the show that the people who had offended my wife will have to leave the show. And everyone did — Raju Srivastav, Rohit Verma and Claudia Ciesla. But when I saw my video (of him and wife Tanaaz fighting) on Friday, I realised I was more offensive. I was on national television and her career span was longer than mine... I should’ve respected that. For me, it was not the greed of 10 lakh, but a sorry worth a crore to my wife.”

Irani doesn’t regret his decision. “If I’ve behaved like an a***ole, I have the balls to say it on national TV.” Reacting to his wife’s statement that the two would need to talk things out, he says, “If she needs, definitely (I will). But I don’t think a reality show can separate Tanaaz and Bakhtiyaar.”

Asked if he’s forgiven housemate Vindu Dara Singh, Irani says, “Vindu is nonsensical. He feels that at 45, he must make his career. He’s desperate.”
