It was a “dream come true”for Amit Malvankar and Falon Netto, who won Zee TV’s popular dance reality show, Dance India Dance Doubles. The talented duo from Mumbai, who clinched the coveted Sunehri Taqdeer Ki Topi, were mentored by choreographer Marzi Pestonji in the show, that also had ace choreographers Geeta Kapoor and Rajeev Surti as judges and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty as Grand Master.

“My journey was fabulous. I couldn’t have asked for more. Though we had ups and downs during the show, we had faith in our talent and wanted to win desperately,” says an excited Falon, 25. The other half of the dancing couple, Amit, 25, says, “It feels awesome to see our hard work get paid off. The time we spent practicing has finally been justified.” The couple, who have known each other for one and an half years, believes their understanding of each other’s weaknesses and strengths helped them win.

When asked about their future plans, Falon says, “I would like to explore the field of acting, though dance will always be my first love.” Amit says, “Let’s see. I haven’t decided on anything yet.”
