CBS airs first Under the Dome teaser

The network aired the first Under the Dome teaser on Super Bowl Sunday night. Initially scheduled to air on CBS Corporation channel Showtime, the 13 Steven Spielberg-produced episodes of Under the Dome will air on CBS starting June 24.

Initially scheduled to air on CBS Corporation channel Showtime, the 13 Steven Spielberg-produced episodes of Under the Dome will air on CBS starting June 24.

Spielberg's Amblin Television, director Niels Arden Oplev (Millennium, Swedish version) and scriptwriter Brian K. Vaughan will join forces for this project that follows the tragedy experienced in Chester's Mill, Maine, when an invisible force field descends upon the small town to trap its people.

Filming has not started yet and the cast is still being recruited, which is why the teaser shown by CBS is inspired by the two-volume science fiction novel published in 2009 in the US.
