Ekta to make film on television industry

As if making soaps was not enough, television queen Ekta Kapoor is now attempting a film on the stark truths of television industry. According to grapevine, the film's plot would revolve around the alleged brutal murder of the 27-year-old creative head of Synergy Adlabs, Neeraj Grover by a television actress Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend Jerome Mathew.

According to a Balaji source, “It would be a no-holds-barred expose. The film will show the desperate measures adopted by production companies and channels to boost TRPs. Ekta won’t spare anyone, not even herself. She will also be a part of the plot. It’s about the power that the home medium generates.”

According to grapevine, the film's plot would revolve around the alleged brutal murder of the 27-year-old creative head of Synergy Adlabs, Neeraj Grover by a television actress Maria Susairaj and her boyfriend Jerome Mathew.

Says the source, “Ekta has been rigorously reading on the Grover murder case and decided to make that incident the focal point of the film. It will be about the ruthless ambitions and aspirations that define the Indian television industry.”

But Ekta won't be directing the film herself. The movie will be directed by a filmmaker with experience of the television industry and its working patterns. The cast will comprise mostly television actors.
