Ghazal singer Talat Aziz swaps mic for dancing shoes

After filmmaker Karan Johar joined the judges panel with actor Madhuri Dixit and choreographer- director Remo D’Souza, the new season of Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 5 (JDJ) on Colors is all set to attract big names from the celeb world.

Though many names have been tossed around, it’s confirmed that ghazal singer Talat Aziz has been signed on.

He says, “I am looking forward to the rigorous rehearsals with my choreographer. And just like with music, I am going to immerse myself in learning this new art.”

Among the other names being considered for the TV dance competition, Sri Lankan former cricket captain Sanath Jayasuriya tops the list of celebrities who have already been approached. TV stars Gurmeet Choudhary and Jiaa Manek are on the shortlist but have not been signed on yet.
