Hrithik Roshan’s debut dance reality show, Just Dance that premiered across Star Plus and Star One among other channels of the bouquet, has opened with 3.7 points and 4.7 points respectively in total since the show was simulcast.

It has garnered a bigger opening number than his other colleagues’ shows have in recent times. Preity Zinta’s Guinness World Record — Ab India Todega opened with 3.3 points. Akshay Kumar’s Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar opened with an average of 2.6. Ditto Shah Rukh Khan’s Zor Ka Jhatka — Total Wipeout.

Now, it’s rumoured that the channel, Star Plus, and production house SOL Productions, have initiated talks with Hrithik for the second season of the show, which should flag off around the same time next year. Sources close to the star, currently shooting for the Agneepath remake in Diu, say that he plans to renegotiate the work fee.

Currently, his supposed fee is between R 1.5 to R 1.75 crore an episode for 26 episodes. For the next season, he plans to charge anything between Rs. 2 crore to Rs. 2.25 crore an episode, considering that even the much-hyped Krrish sequel will be ready by then.

On the sets

Meanwhile, the actor continues to impress contestants and audiences on the shoot of Just Dance with his antics. A few days ago during the mega auditions, Hrithik learnt that one of the contestants’ mother was deaf and mute.

Seeing her feel curious as she watched her son’s performance, the actor walked up to her and began communicating with her using sign language. He had apparently learnt it while shooting for one of his films.

Everyone present on the show and the two judges — Vaibhavi Merchant and Farah Khan — were touched by his effort to try and comfort her.
