Rupali Ganguly chats with Rahul Sabharwal about Bigg Boss I and happiness of being a part of Zara Nach Ke Dikha....A few excerpts:

How does it feel to be on the winning side in Zara Nach Ke Dikha?
Everyone loves winning. Plus, I got a chance to bond with so many people — Karishma, Delnaz and I still meet every day.

What made you sign up for a reality show again?
Just like Bigg Boss was about proving to my parents that I could live alone, this time I wanted to see whether I could dance. First I jump, and then I think.

How tough was it to dance on national television?
I’m really shy and I’m scared of people judging me. But I took it as a challenge. And I owe a lot to Malaika, she’s a great human being. The judges on other shows can be very insulting. Who gives them that right?

The short dress you wore in the finale was a shocker. What was that about?
My dress designer put his foot down. And although he promised he would cover me up before going on stage, he disappeared at the last moment. I was so conscious I almost died. Plus, I’m fat so that was another challenge.

You? Fat? C'mon.
Compared to some other contestants who have a perfect figure, I’m on the bigger side. I’ve always been. I’m not complaining though, the last thing I can give up on is food.

Was there ever any friction between you and the others?
I don’t think so. I'm very boring.

Out of the characters you've played, what's been your favourite?
Monisha in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.

Do you think the show will ever come back?
Considering how things stand right now, I don’t think so. It only depends on one man — Atish Kapadia.

This was your second reality show. Any more coming up?
Right now, I’m taking an indefinite break. But I’m up for anything good. Reality shows were a big no-no after Bigg Boss, but I did come back.

Are you following the second season of the show?
I met Shilpa (Shetty) recently and she was saying how good the first season was. The people are a lot more conscious this time round. I remember talking to a putla (statue) when I was inside. I felt like such an idiot when I saw it later.

What are you watching these days?
Sarabhai..., Bigg Boss and my favourite, Balika Vadhu.
