The film and TV fraternity are used to getting kind words from colleagues, but when the one giving the compliment is Lata Mangeshkar, the praise seems extra special. That is how producer Ekta Kapoor felt when she received a call from the legendary singer.
A source says, “Lataji watches Ekta’s show, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain (BALH) and called her to ask why she was keeping Ram and Priya Kapoor separated. She loves the couple and their onscreen chemistry. Ekta was thrilled that Lataji watches her show regularly and decided to thank her by paying tribute.”
The much-hyped scene aired this week had Ram and Priya getting intimate to the singer’s famous song, ‘Lag ja gale’, from Woh Kaun Thi (1964).
“Lataji wanted them to be reunited and requested Ekta to bring them together. That is how Ram and Priya’s latest track came about. Ekta also used Lataji’s song as a mark of respect,” the source adds.
Ekta says, “It was a huge honour to have Lataji call and compliment the show. She loves BALH and was upset that Ram and Priya weren't together. We paid Lataji a
special tribute with their union and used a popular song for a crucial intimate scene in the show.”
In the future Ram ( Ram Kapoor) and Priya (Sakshi Tanwar) have got intimate again. However, Priya feels guilty and leaves for Dubai. Later, Ram tries to talk to Ayesha (Chahat Khanna) about a divorce, but she brushes the subject aside. She also makes a plan with Sidharth (Mahesh Shetty) to get rid of Ram. Several episodes further into the plot, Ram and Priya will reunite, this time forever.
