Why did you choose this show?
I’ve watched it for years and it’s a fun show. I felt it suits my personality as I’m an adventurous and fun person.

Most film actors judge reality shows as they are considered a way of making easy money. Was that the case with you too?
Why not make hay while the sun shines? (smiles)

The precedent on the show is to deal with contestants using harsh language and a tough attitude.
I will be myself and not what others have portrayed in previous seasons. As for how tough I am, I guess people will see that on the show. With me, what I feel is what you will see. I will be blunt, just like my mother, but I have an emotional quotient like my dad too.

Are you feeling any pressure after the controversial exits of previous judges Raghu Ram and Rajiv Laxman?
They had an amazing run on the show and are still doing another show on the same channel. I think it’s (controversy) is just for publicity. I don’t think there’s any pressure on me. I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. I am a happy-go-lucky person. I love the adrenaline rush the show has, and I will meet youngsters from various cities and get to know their point of view.

You haven’t done a film in the last three years. Why?
Other than my wedding, I was busy with dance shows, and being a newly-wed, I wanted to enjoy that phase with my family. My in-laws are chilled out. However, I am working on my production house, so acting should happen soon.
