Roopal Tyagi, who plays the female protagonist in Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke, recently went on record to say that she wanted to slap her former beau Ankit Gera for cheating on her. The TV actor, who plays the female protagonist in the popular show, Sapne Suhaane Ladakpan Ke, recently went on record to say that she wanted to slap her former beau and co-actor Ankit Gera for cheating on her.

Asked if it has been ­awkward working on the show together ever since, Roopal says, "Suprisingly, it hasn’t been. It’s very ­professional on the sets, and I think this entire ­experience has made me stronger. I never thought I would be able to work with someone who I don’t like, but look at me... we recently completed 500 ­episodes of the show!"

Just like her character Gunjan, in real life too, Roopal believes in speaking her mind. "I have always said what I’ve believed in... I mean, that’s how you can lead a normal life. Just because we are actors and in the limelight, why do we have to live in a shell?" says the 24-year-old, who often feels helpless when people ­perceive that she has a ­solution to every problem, just as on her show.

"I feel that I am some sort of an agony aunt. People write to me with their ­problems, and it’s a helpless ­situation when you see ­someone in trouble but are not able to do much. So I try to guide them as much as I can," says the Bangalore girl, who now has reasons to consider herself a ‘responsible ­citizen’.

"I’m flying to my hometown to cast my vote for the upcoming elections," she says.

And what about her love life? "Well, I’m not even thinking about it right now, because I keep meeting the wrong people all the time," she giggles.
