India’s first transgender TV host, Rose Venkatesan, celebrated her “first birthday” in Chennai. Venkatesan, who had undergone a surgery in Bangkok to become a woman a year ago, said on the Chennai-channel that she is “very, very happy today.” She now wants to highlight the plight of transgenders through the show apart from making her directorial debut.
