Though the current episode of the TV show outlined various ways of eco-friendly waste management that can be incorporated in our current system, this one is not likely to evoke as many debates as other issues raised on the show often do.

In a well-researched and intelligently handled fashion, the current episode of the TV show outlined the various ways of eco-friendly waste management that can be incorporated in our current system.

Some of the important and relevant points raised in the show were:
Separation of dry and wet waste.
Separation of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste

also offered some innovative ways of waste management.

Dr SR Malay, scientist, said on the show that use of natural sanitisers (a special bacteria that helps making compost out of garbage) can be used to make dumping grounds less toxic.

Use of recycling and re-using products from garbage is also a way of eco-friendly waste management, the show suggested.

Amrita Pal, filed a PIL in 1996, on which the Supreme Court passed Solid Waste Management Rules.

Members of Swatch, a team that aims at better waste management, also appeared on Satyamev Jayate 2 to talk about their efforts and problems they face during their work.

Our take
For all the information and really useful tips on waste management, the episode smacked of promotion for Incredible India ad where he picks on people keeping their personal spaces clean while ignoring the public spaces.

Though important and relevant, compared to the previous topics on the show, this one is not likely to evoke as many debates as other issues raised on the show often do.
