Shaheer Sheikh might be a popular face on the small screen, but the actor says he did not join the industry to get famous. It was his love for the art of acting that enthused Shaheer to be a part of the television industry.

“I never joined the TV industry for fame. I always wanted to act. I am very passionate about the art. So when I got the opportunity I was more than happy,” says Shaheer, best known for his TV show Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi (Please retain the name of the show in print).

The actor enjoys a huge fan following, however, he confesses that being a private person, at times it is awkward when he gets mobbed by fans.

“I am thankful to all the love that I have received from my fans. It’s amazing when people, who don’t even know you, pray for your good heath and success. But being a private person, sometimes I don’t know how to handle the adulation that comes my way,” adds Shaheer, who has also worked in shows such as Kya Mast Hai Life, Jhansi Ki Rani, Navya..Naye Dhadkan Naye Sawaal and Mahabharat.

Shaheer says that he prefers to stay in his own zone most of the times. “I enjoy going for a walk or a movie, but that is not possible anymore,” says Shaheer, adding, “I also miss going to the mall for my grocery shopping. Spending such me-time and private moments with my near and dear ones, is difficult nowadays, as you are always being followed. I know that this comes with the profession and industry I belong to.”
