Riddhima will be back from her long break on Dill Mill Gaye on Star One, this time as a doctor and a stern one at that.

When asked Jennifer Winget, who last played the intern Riddhima Gupta, she confirms that she will be back on the show very soon.

“It’s been more than two months since I stopped shooting for the show. Now, I’m all set to roll, once again as Riddhima, but with a difference,” she states. When asked what she referred to as a difference, she says that she would not only be the docile daughter of the hospital’s dean, Shashank Gupta (Mohnish Behl), but she would come back as a strict senior doctor in the organization.

“My character was always a mature one. Now, when I come back, I will be intensely focused on my work. Earlier, romance had taken a lot from her. Not anymore,” says Winget, adding that she will sport a mature look, maybe clad in saris.

Does that mean that the producers have also roped in Karan Singh Grover who played her love interest, Armaan Mallik?
She says, “I don’t know much about his reentry on the show. You must divert this to Karan and the show’s creative team. I don’t know how have they planned the story from here. I don’t even know for how long am I going to be on the show. I missed it though because I had been working on it for six months before the tracks changed.”

Right now, Winget is on a happy high with her new show as a host. Laughter Ke Phatke on Star One, she says, gives her a kick. “I enjoy anchoring, especially on laughter shows. It’s fun. Every act is like a new play. Technically, you get to see so many plays in one episode. No matter what the ratings are, I am going to complete the season for sure,” says the actress.
