There is a camaraderie star kids share, which comes from having to carry a whole lot of baggage... like strange nicknames. I have been more fortunate than many of my peers like Lolo, Bebo, Duggu, Gattu, etc. I got away with just being called Farhu by my sister Zoya and cousin Farah Khan.

When Abhishek Bachchan came as a guest on my show, this was on of the topics of discussion. As far as pet names are concerned, he never really had one although he confesses that no matter how much he grows up, he is always referred to as ‘junior’.

I remember a time from our childhood when Abhishek had a Superman theme birthday. All of us dressed up as Superman and watched the film on a VCR. But there was one kid who did not come as Superman — Uday Chopra. He came as Batman since that was the only superhero costume he had.

As the exam season is on, here’s to all the real superheroes — the ones studying for their exams.
