Valentine’s Day: Anas Rashid surprises wife Heena Iqbal with a week-long holiday

Diya Aur Baati Hum actor Anas Rashid spills the beans on plans for his first Valentine’s Day with wife Heena.

Actor Anas Rashid broke many hearts when he got hitched to Heena Iqbal in September, last year. It was an arranged match. The actor says that he realised that Heena was the one for him, when he met her for the first time, in March 2017.

Anas Rashid says the first time he met Heena Iqbal, he knew that she was the one for him.

To celebrate their first Valentine’s Day together, Anas has planned a surprise holiday for Heena.

“We are in Bengaluru and from here we will go to Ooty and a few other destinations. It’s a week-long holiday for us. We’ve been talking about visiting these places for a long time. But, initially, Heena had no idea about it, as I had told her that we will go to Chandigarh [to visit relatives]. Only after we reached the airport, she came to know about it and was surprised,” he says.

The Diya Aur Baati Hum actor says that his life has changed for good after meeting Heena. “Love is faith. With Heena around, I’ve developed more respect towards various relationships in my life.” he adds.

We tried getting in touch with Heena to find out if she has any hing planned for Anas, too. But the latter informed that she is not comfortable talking to media. “Heena is not a part of showbiz, and prefers staying away. But at the same time, she understands what my profession demands and how things work here.”

The TV heart-throb adds, “Previously, she used to get surprised when people would surround me and recognise me as Sooraj Rathi (his character in Diya Aur Baati Hum), but now she has got used to it.” And how does she react to his female fan following? “Heena finds it normal. She is like... ‘yeh to hoga hi aur hona bhi chahiye… achhi baat hain (it will obviously happen, and it’s good)’,” he laughs.
