Why Aamir Khan is missing from promos of Satyamev Jayate 3

Aamir Khan is set to return with the third season of his critically acclaimed television talk show -- Satyamev Jayate -- that gives a rare insight into an array of social issues. The advertisements for the upcoming season have started airing, but, unlike previous instalments, they don’t feature Aamir promoting the show.

The advertisements for the upcoming season have started airing, but, unlike previous instalments, they don’t feature Aamir promoting the show.

Director Satyajit Bhatkal explains that this time his team focused on promoting the theme of the show. "The creative was made keeping that in mind. It was thought of in a way to highlight the concept of Mumkin Hain (drive for change), which has been the driving thought of this season. The creative doesn’t require Aamir," he says.

So far, four ads have been aired. According to Bhatkal, two more will be released in the coming days, and none would have Aamir in the creative. "There are a couple of more to come. So much has been happening around the show, so we thought we’d let our work do the talking," says Bhatkal.
