A man brandished a gun at the anti-CAA protest site in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh. It was a licensed weapon, according to news agency ANI. In a video circulated by the agency, the armed man is seen being overpowered by the protestors at the site. The protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and a proposed National Register of Citizens at Shaheen Bagh has turned into a poll issue with Delhi Assembly elections around the corner. While the Aam Aadmi Party is treading a fine line, the Bharatiya Janata Party has criticised the protest, and the Congress has supported it.
