The Congress has said that it aspires to form its own government in Jharkhand one day. The comment comes amid major political drama playing out in the tribal state following the resignation of arrested Hemant Soren as CM. A new government, formed after Soren’s exit, still has to prove its numbers in the floor test. Congress shares power in Jharkhand with ally JMM as a minority partner, but the comment by the party could alienate more leaders of the INDIA bloc – the opposition alliance suffering back to back setbacks, the latest and biggest by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s exit.
