Coronavirus: 80 districts across India under lockdown as cases cross 365
80 districts across the country were placed under lockdown to prevent the spreading of the Sars-Cov-2 virus which causes the Covid-19 disease. The Union government made the announcement while saying that state governments will decide which essential services are to be provided in the 80 districts in question. Meanwhile, the Indian Council of Medical Research rejected criticism over its testing strategy. It said that it has the capacity to conduct around 10,000 tests per day.
