England's Ben Stokes goes on indefinite break, withdraws from India Tests
All-rounder Ben Stokes will take an indefinite break from all forms of cricket with immediate effect, the announcement was made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Friday. According to ECB, Stokes has withdrawn from the upcoming 5-match Test series against India. The India vs England Test series begins from August 4 in Nottingham. As per ECB's statement, the all-rounder has decided to 'prioritise his mental wellbeing’. Ben Stokes will be replaced by Somerset's Craig Overton in the Test series. England Men's Cricket Managing Director Ashley Giles has backed Stokes' decision. Ashley Giles said the all-rounder will be given as much time as he needs for himself.
