The IPL seems to be producing a new hero with every match. While Rahul Tewatia emerged as the star in the clash between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab, on Monday it was Ishan Kishan. The wicketkeeper batsman scored 99 runs off 58 deliveries with two boundaries and nine sixes. He was however caught in the deep one short of a century. What left many former cricketers and pundits confused was the in-form Kishan not coming out to bat in the super over. Mumbai Indians coach Mahela Jayawardene has defended this decision now and said that Kishan was extremely tired and the team wanted fresh batsmen in the middle. He added that while they did not manage to score much in the super over, Pollard and Hardik Pandya have done it for the team in the past. Jaywardene was all praise for Kishan though and said that he put up a stellar show with Pollard in the middle, nearly taking the team over the line. Watch the full video for all the details.
