B'lore artisans carve out innovative idols of Ganesha

With the festival of Vinayaka Chaturthi due on 15th September, the artisans involved in the making of Ganesha idols in Bangalore - the Silicon Valley of India, have come out with innovative colourful idols of the deity. Vinayaka Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha in the lunar month of Bhadrapada as per the Hindu calendar. The markets are flooded with Ganesha idols in at least 500 different moods.
