Based on a short story by Charan Singh Pathik titled Do Behnein, Pataakha narrates a story of two siblings played by Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan. Set in the rural backdrop of somewhere in Rajasthan, Pataakha is a comic drama where two sisters after years of fighting come to realize they can't live with and without each other. Even though Vishal suffered a trifling setback through his last year's release Rangoon, the good news is he's back in his elements with this one.
