In the film, Ranveer plays former cricketer Kapil Dev & Deepika will essay his wife Romi. The film tells story of the Indian cricket team’s maiden World Cup victory in 1983. Directed by Kabir Khan, 83 is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 4.
