Watch | Fashion designer creates gowns with car panel material

A fashion designer created four gowns out of the same thermoplastic material the automotive supplier puts in the instrument panel surfaces of General Motors cars and trucks. “Even though it's automotive material, they're very elegant. They have a really classic, beautiful look to them, too, so people are very, very surprised when they find out what the material is”, said Janna Coumoundouros, Fashion Designer. Results were on display during a pop-up fashion show at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
