Arsene Wenger heaps praise on team’s attacking play after dominant win
Arsenal’s record signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored on his debut and Aaron Ramsey hit a hat-trick in a swaggering 5-1 rout of woeful Everton on Saturday. Wenger had bemoaned Arsenal’s defending in their wretched 3-1 loss at Swansea on Tuesday, but the two changes he made were both attack minded as Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan came in. “They [Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang] look like they can play together. Before Mesut [Ozil] and Sanchez had a privileged understanding. But we can be creative and mobile, our game is based on that. But that means as well we have to attack, our challenge is to find a balance. We are a very offensive team, we want to play that kind of football. But we have to find a balance between attacking and defending. That will be certainly our challenge for the end of the season. (Video credit: Perform)”.
