A Houthi minister made a big announcement amid tensions in the Red sea. Ships entering Yemeni waters will have to obtain a permit from the Houthis. Houthi minister Misfer Al-Numair said this is for the “safety of the ships". This comes as the Houthis have been targeting int'l ships in the Red sea & the Gulf of Aden. The Houthis say they’re acting in solidarity with Palestinians against Israel’s Gaza offensive. The U.S. & UK have also been launching counter-attacks on the Houthis amid Red sea tensions.
