Telecom tycoon Sunil Bharti Mittal, at HT's Leadership Summit 2025, tied his own entrepreneurial journey in telecom to India’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” goal, arguing that world‑class digital infrastructure and affordable connectivity will be central to making India a fully developed economy. He spoke about building Bharti Airtel from the early days of mobile telephony to a global‑scale operator, the next wave of 5G/6G, satellites and digital services, and stressed that private enterprise, innovation, and strong public-private partnerships must drive inclusive growth over the next two decades.
