'I think USA, Russia talking…':Zelensky admits defeat amid Ukraine peace talks?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said talks in Berlin focused on difficult and sensitive issues and that the United States is expected to contact Russia in the coming days before further negotiations with Kyiv in Washington. Speaking in The Hague alongside Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof, Zelensky said Ukraine’s EU accession bid is viewed as a security guarantee and is backed by many partners. Schoof reaffirmed military support for Ukraine, announcing accelerated funding and ammunition purchases for F-16s. He also noted upcoming EU debates on financing Ukraine for 2026 and 2027, including a contested reparations loan proposal.
