Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed condolences following a deadly plane crash involving a Libyan military delegation traveling from Ankara to Tripoli. Speaking in Ankara, Erdogan said General Muhammad Ali Al Haddad, Chief of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces, was among those killed, along with the aircraft’s crew. He offered sympathies to the Libyan people, armed forces and government, calling Libya a brotherly nation. Erdogan said the incident deeply saddened Turkey and confirmed that a full investigation has been launched. He added that relevant Turkish ministries will share updates as the inquiry into the cause of the crash continues.
