Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, reacted to a statement made by a Union minister. Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh, had said that retrieving Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir is next on agenda. General Rawat said that institutions in the country act as per instructions of the government, and that the Army is always ready to act. The Army chief also spoke about the situation in Jammu and Kashmir, and said that the people of the region must understand that actions of Central government are in their interest.
