Article 370 revoked | Lok Sabha adopts resolution on bill to reorganise J&K

The Lok Sabha adopted a resolution moved by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the bifurcation of Jammu and Kashmir, and conversion if the two parts into Union Territories. The resolution concerned the tabling of a bill on August 6, 2019, for the reorganisation of the state into two Union Territories - Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. It has been proposed that the UT of Jammu-Kashmir will have a legislature, while the Ladakh UT would not.
