Basic price of Rafale aircraft 9% cheaper under NDA than UPA, says Arun Jaitley

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has sharply criticised Congress chief Rahul Gandhi's campaign against the government over the Rafale fighter jet deal. He says that every charge that the Congress had levelled against the NDA on pricing of the fighter jets is “factually false” and that the claims are based on “peddled untruth”. Jaitley has argued that the basic aircraft price is actually 9% cheaper under NDA than the UPA taking into account the escalations and currency variations.
