Heavy rainfall for the last few days has led to floods in Patna and several other regions of Bihar. Over 30 people have been killed in the state in the last few days. Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and his family were rescued by the NDRF after they had also been stranded. Schools in the area are shut due to the flooding, while water has also entered residences and government offices in many regions of the state. There is no relief in sight either as the MET department has predicted further rainfall for the state in the coming days.
