Two men were airlifted by the Indian Air Force after a swelling Tawi river trapped them on an under-construction bridge in Jammu. The IAF sent its Garud Commandos to rescue the fishermen. IAF personnel can be seen attaching hooks on the men and the chopper then lifts them to safety. Heavy rains have been lashing northern parts of India. Flood alerts have been sounded in many states like Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. At least 30 people have died and a dozen reported missing.
