EJ Espresso: India Covid tally crosses 89 lakh, phase 3 trials begin for Covaxin

Bharat Biotech has announced the commencement of Phase 3 trials of Covaxin in India which will involve 26,000 volunteers across the country. Haryana cabinet minister Anil Vij will be the first volunteer for the Covaxin trial. Meanwhile, India's Covid-19 tally seems to be on the rise. According to the Union Health Ministry data India reported 38,617 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the tally in the country to 89 lakh.
