European lawmakers’ delegation meets PM Modi, Doval; to visit J&K on Oct 29

A delegation of Members of European Parliament (MEPs) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi, the Prime Minister's official residence. The meeting took place a day before the delegation is slated to visit Jammu and Kashmir. This would be the first foreign team to visit the erstwhile state after abrogation of its special status. The delegation also met National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. While addressing the MEPs, PM Modi said that there should be zero tolerance for terrorism, and said that the visit would help the delegation better understand the cultural and religious diversity in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
