An Indian public sector unit has decided to terminate a contract with a Chinese firm amid the ongoing face-off along the Line of Actual Control. Indian Railways' Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Ltd (DFCCIL) decided to cancel the Rs 471 crore deal with Beijing National Railway Research & Design Institute of Signal and Communication Group over poor performance. DFCCIL said that only 20% of the work was completed in 4 years, while also pointing out other shortcomings. The decision was taken in April 2020.
