Flood fury wreaks havoc in Maharashtra, rescue operations underway

Flood fury has wreaked havoc in several parts of Maharashtra and the situation continues to remain grim. The NDRF, SDRF, Coast Guard, Navy and the Army are conducting rescue operations in the flood hit areas. Many trucks have been stranded in the Karad area for around 4 days. Earlier Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had cut short his Mahajanadesh Yatra and conducted an aerial survey of the flood hit regions. The districts of Kohlapur, Sangli & Satara are among the worst hit.
