Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi addressed the media on Wednesday. The lawyer spoke about proceedings in the Supreme Court regarding petitions challenging the recent amendments to the Citizenship Act. Singhvi explained the 'three pillars' which form the basis of the party's arguments against the new law. The amendments make it easier for non-Muslims from three neighbouring nations to become Indian citizens if they entered the country on or before December 31, 2014.
