Uma Bharati’s dig at SP-BSP: ‘Mayawati call me if attacked by SP men again’

With the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections just a few weeks away, Union Minister Uma Bharati took a jibe at the BJP's main rival, the SP-BSP alliance, in electorally important Uttar Pradesh. Bharati reminded BSP supremo Mayawati of how she had been attacked by SP men at a guest house in Lucknow in 1995, and said that the same will be repeated in the near future. The NDA minister asked Mayawati to keep the former's phone number at hand so she could call for help.
