After the long ten-day stopover on the shores of India the famed Volvo Ocean Race was flagged off from Kochi Port to Singapore to its third leg on Saturday. Federal Minister for Tourism and Culture, Ambika Soni flagged off the race held in Race Village at the Willingdon Island in Kerala. Soni said the large presence of foreign tourists would send across the message that India was a safe tourist destination, despite the recent Mumbai terror attacks.
