Asian shares jump in relief rally after Greek vote
Asian shares rose nearly 2 % today after Greece's election delivered a slim parliamentary majority to pro-bailout parties, a result seen as crucial to European leaders' efforts to hold the euro together. Hong Kong's benchmark Hang Seng Index opened up 1.8 % at 19,578.1. The Greek election looked set to deliver a government led by conservative New Democracy, heading a coalition broadly committed to a 130 billion euro EU/IMF bailout. However, analysts said the election result was not the end of for problem in the Euro zone.
