BJP wins six of the eight seats in Karnataka by-polls
Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka won six out of the eight assembly constituencies, where by- elections were held and secured a majority on its own in the 224-member State Assembly on Tuesday. The Janata Dal-Secular bagged two seats while main opposition Congress was routed in the elections held on Saturday. State chief B.S. Yediyurappa said that the results were indicative of people's approval for the performance of his government.
