Centre to strip Rathore's commendation medals

The ministry of home affairs announced that Shambhu Pratap Singh Rathore, former DGP of Haryana, would be stripped of his police medal for meritorious service. The stripping of Rathore's honours comes as a shot in the arm for the justice of Ruchika campaign. The decision was taken at a meeting of the home ministry's medals committee headed by Home Secretary GK Pillai.
