CPI to stage protest against price rise on April 8

The Communist Party of India (CPI), is to stage a countrywide protest on April 8 against price rise. The party, that also staged a demo in New Delhi on Sunday regarding the issue, announced this on Sunday. Left's other demands include foodgrains to poor and working class at reasonable rate, holding of panchayat elections in state immediately, distribution of land to landless tribals and non-tribals, end of favours to multinational companies and compensation to farmers who lost their crops due to drought.
