Even as heavy rains lash the national capital, commuters are facing the brunt with waterlogged roads and traffic jams bringing city life to a standstill. According to MET officials, the city received 10.9 mm rains between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm, as on Friday, bringing the mercury below normal level. The maximum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degree Celsius, while the minimum was 25.5 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, with continuous release of water from the Hathnikund barrage, torrential rains have led water levels in the river Yamuna to rise higher, nearing the danger level mark today.
